Project Complete...Almost

Tuesday, April 8, 2008 the carpet was installed, Parker & Joshua jumped in to help vacuum

all of the little bits of carpet left behind by the installers,
Gabby finally has her own room,
and we get to enjoy how great it looks after all the hard work.

It was a proud moment to see what we were able to accomplish. Sadly or fortunately, our kids are young enough that they will probably forget all the hard work, but they deserve credit for a lot of things. Parker and Gabby helped carry supplies and tools, hold sheetrock, mud and tape, paint, stain, clean up many times, and entertain each other and Joshua for many hours over the last year. Contrary to my daily orneriness, they are amazing. I am also very grateful to have a husband that lets us try all sorts of things that only professionals should probably do. The trim, especially. It added a lot of time to our project, but it may make me the most proud.

Give us a few more weeks and we may build up the energy to finish up the bathroom!
