We usually end up in Ephraim some time in the fall for a weekend away. It's a good thing it is only a two hour drive. The kids can manage the ride as long as they are either tired or have something to snack on, hence the flushy (aka slushy) and drink.
Any time with Grandma Dyreng is a grand time for Gabby, Parker and Joshua. She has the perfect back yard to build a fire to roast marshmallows. The kids love it, and we don't have to even sleep in a tent after, although you can if you want!
If the snow hasn't closed the canyon we take a drive up to the lake. This year it was already partially frozen, but still warm enough to enjoy the outdoors. The kids found the biggest rocks they could to throw into the lake. You needed something heavy to break through the ice. I am sure the guy fishing appreciated all the noise we created.
Gabby, Parker, Corbin and Carter...all the fun we have with cousins.
